About the program

This program opens with a language and cultural immersion phase — French lessons, cooking classes, and guided excursions — while you stay with a host family. Once settled, you move into a full-time hospitality or culinary placement with a partner hotel or restaurant, training alongside experienced kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Roles are available in culinary production, food and beverage service, or front-of-house operations, matched to your background and the needs of the host property.

Advantages of a hospitality placement in France

  • Strengthen your CV with a placement in one of the world's leading hospitality markets
  • Build conversational French while training in a professional kitchen or hotel environment
  • Opportunity to obtain university credit
  • Network with international hospitality brands
  • Live and work in France

During the language phase, participants stay with a host family with breakfast and dinner included. During the placement phase, shared staff accommodation is arranged with your host employer, with at least two meals provided daily. Throughout the program, an Ashiraj coordinator and our French partner remain available for support, and participants are issued a Certificate of Completion after the final evaluation.

Program Eligibility

  • Age 18–45
  • Currently enrolled in a culinary or hospitality program, or a recent graduate
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant education or work experience
  • Basic conversational English; no French required to apply
  • Valid passport with at least 12 months remaining validity
